The ‘tito’ behind the restaurant, Mr. Rommel Cruz, expressed that putting up TITOS Palawan as an addition to other best restaurants in Puerto Princesa started established in 2021 to address the common interest of modern titos—drinking. Mr. Cruz’s previous career has been affected by the pandemic; thus, he came up with the idea of establishing a restaurant of his own. More than catering to ‘titos’, the bar initially started to sell beer food such as papaitan or a dish cooked using beef innards, and Filipino beef stew or balbacua, which were also the bestsellers.

The bar and restaurant’s name, “Titos Palawan”, targets mainly people of that specific age group who are out to chill and dine on the city outskirts of Puerto Princesa.
